Burning Question: Will the defense once again be the best in the league?
Bottom Line: The 49ers were a fantastic team in 2019. They played in great games seemingly every week and were never easy to put down. Despite being 10 minutes away from being Super Bowl champs, the Niners couldn’t close the deal.
Now we are in 2020, and the Niners return a lot of the same players and add some fresh faces. 2 first round picks (Aiyuk and Kinlaw) come in to fill the departures of Emmanuel Sanders and DeForest Buckner. They also brought in Trent Williams to replace long-time left tackle Joe Staley.
The Niners did a great job staying proactive in the offseason and making sure they made up for every key loss they had to deal with. They bring back studs like George Kittle, Fred Warner, Nick Bosa, the list goes on and on. And that isn’t even mentioning Jimmy G, who is 21-6 as starting QB for the Niners.
Overall, I think this Niners team is primed to once again make a big impact. I think they are a team that is prepared to make another deep playoff run.
Predicted Win Range: 11-13
